Advice to Requester

"The United States is one of the hardest hit countries in terms of infections and mortality, with over 75 million infections and 885,560 deaths." - in terms of infections we allow our media to announce. Believing China's assertions, in particular, is idiotic.

"You have decided that you want to move to The Big City" - imma just stop you right there. I retired to the country on a government pension, and I cannot even express my hatred and loathing of even suburban life, much less actual cities.

Also, it looks like you are going to try to extract some sort of racism thing from the "scenario", in spite of it being nonsense. My entire reaction of unsuitability of the roommate, aside from my total unwillingness to live with any other person much less an internet rano, is due to his AGE. I'm in my 40's, I cannot imagine even trying to live with a 20yo.

Req has 81% approval rating so is clearly handing out mass unfair rejections. I do quality work, this generic response is nonsense
