Rejected for the same reason. Reached out to the requester in hopes that they will be reasonable about this and overturn it.Update: Requester agreed to overturn rejection but still has not done so days later. I sent them the link on how to reverse rejections but received no response. I sent a follow up today.
Update 2: Still hasn't overturned the rejection. Plus they are ignoring emails. Just gonna throw their name into the scammer pile.
Update 3: Never overturned the rejection. I contacted their school and they finally sent the payment as a bonus. Too lazy to actually follow the guide I gave them to overturn the rejection I guess. AVOID this person.

Rejected me for a short time spent, yet only had a ten minute timer. Survey was a small amount of writing and about 30 bubbles. 4 and a half minutes is plenty of time for any regular turker to finish thatEdit-12/13 Initially replied promising reversal, but never followed through. Seems like a requester that was overwhelmed on learning how to use mturk and decided to bail. Most likely(and hopefully) a one time requester.
Advice to Requester
1) If you insist on people "taking their time" don't set a timer that makes them feel the need to rush.2) The only thing worse than rejecting a hit for an invalid reason is promising to reverse it shortly after, then ghosting everyone.

Hit was rejected due to "The work time spent on the HIT was not realistic." But the timer was only 10 minutes so I had to complete the hit quickly. Not sure what exactly would have been realistic. Also no response to my communication request yet.Advice to Requester
When giving out mass rejections you should at least respond to people. Give a longer timer if you want people not to feel rushed to get through it quickly.
