I believe it is normally considered polite on mturk to warn people when you are going to intentionally show them images intended to be upsetting or unpleasant. Even more so when there is apparently NO connection between that obvious manipulation and the actual experimental question(s).Advice to Requester
I believe it is normally considered polite on mturk to warn people when you are going to intentionally show them images intended to be upsetting or unpleasant. Who tf goes to google or bing to search for a poster? And I wouldn't use ANY of those search terms - I would search for an image based on some sort of description of what I wanted an image of.

Watch an unskippable series of extremely depressing images as an intentional and obvious manipulation that has NOTHING TO DO WITH ANYTHING THAT MAKES SENSE, and that makes the study underpaid no matter how quickly you complete the rest.Advice to Requester
What the heck is this?A) There is LITERALLY NO CIRCUMSTANCE where I would search Google for a water bottle. I would go to Amazon, or maybe somehwhere else I already had an account.
B) I have piles of water bottles. None of them are 20-oz. That would last me less than an hour.
C) WHAT THE HELL DOES A SERIES OF DEPRESSING IMAGES HAVE TO DO WITH SEARCHING FOR A DANG WATER BOTTLE?
