EDIT: Were pretty decent fillers/ batch work if the ad length wasn't too long. Changing time to 4:15 though cause that's probably a more proper average time across the longer and shorter ads to go through.Cons
Highly variable based on length of original text.Did a bunch of these yesterday and received 1 rejection, which has me a little worried (since I have so many pending), so I am waiting to hear back from the requester. EDIT: talked to requester who said he reversed the reject, but still showing as rejected. Might be mturk being slow on reversing rejections, since I've had that happen before.
I talked to the requester a while back via several emails and clarified some things on the task, so am a little surprised I got a rejection, but did quite a few, so hopefully just a random reject.
Advice to Requester
Please update the instructions based on our discussions. Some things to clarify:- page numbers: you said these were optional when we spoke. Does this include the codes at the end of a lot of the texts (ex. 54tf, jy1-4)?
-text before and after the main article/ section: again, you said these were optional when we spoke.
-misspellings: you said to leave them in.
-hyphens: you said for hyphens that should remain, a space before/ after was optional. Also, you said to keep "naturally" hyphenated words (not hyphenated due to the end of a line, but how they should be written).
-You never updated your good example btw. Based on our discussions, you said higher lines should be transcribed first, so the bottom part of your good example is actually transcribed incorrectly.
That's all I can think of now, but please update the instructions to include these points or any other notes you may have. I am thinking my rejection was due to one of the above. Please also make sure if someone else is approving our work that they are aware of the above. And please get back to me about that rejection. Thanks.

Long tutorial to watch. Underpaid in general.Amount of work varies from task to task, so shorter ones, if you're lucky might take 2:15, but longer ones could easily push 4-5 minutes.
Enjoyed working on this requester's transcription tasks, but these are just too underpaid to work on, even if you cherry pick.
Hits are slow to load, even though there are no images in this one. Wonder why. The transcription ones were too, but those had images, so it made sense.
Advice to Requester
Please pay fairly.
