Memory and Journaling Study - Part 1 (~ 30 minutes) - $4.00
$23.92 / hour

Pros• At least one paid follow-up ("Depending on if there is room, you may be asked to complete up to 4 additional brief surveys, each one week apart. All participants who completed Part 1 will be eligible to take Part 5, but only some will be offered opportunities to take Parts 2-4. Additionally, for each survey you complete, we will enter you in a drawing for a $100 bonus that will take place after the final survey has finished.")
Cons• Timed page (3 minutes for journaling exercise)
Motivation and Affect - Part 4(~ 30 minutes) - $4.00
$24.74 / hour
00:09:42 / completion time
ProsPart 4 of 4. On par with the first study in terms of length. Likely most of the questions were similar to gauge if/how our responses changed. Would have been nice if this were as easy as parts 2 and 3, but part 4 still paid well for the time and energy expended.
ConsWas feeling charitable and decided to do one of the additional tasks. They snuck in three open ended writing prompts which was kind of shady.
Attitudes and Values Survey(~ 20 minutes) - $1.00
$2.99 / hour
00:20:03 / completion time
ProsIt was about things I was grateful for.
ConsToo much writing and making lists.
I should have bailed on it when I had to explain the reasons for the things that I listed, but I wanted to see how bad it actually was. I don't know what I expected.
A lot of spiritual/religious bubbles after the lists/reasons
