Pros

Part 1 is fairly simple, mostly MC questions but a few short-answer written questions. If you qualify for part 2 and choose to continue, you get the bonus.

Cons

Part 1 has a little bit of short answer writing. Part 2 is ENTIRELY longform experiential writing about difficult topics.

Advice to Requester

Please bump up the compensation for extensive writing tasks about mental health; these kinds of tasks are both physically and emotionally laborious. Please also indicate in advance that part 2 is all writing so that participants who qualify can choose to opt-out if they find writing tasks disagreeable (and/or include an opt-out button that can be pressed at any point so workers can still receive a survey code for the first half of the study).

Pros

Quick payment, part two had more writing but was overall faster than part one for me. On the consent page she indicated that prefer not to answer was always acceptable for any question but I never chose to use it.

Cons

Tough topic but I don't think it went too far in detail for the pay when bonus is included. I've seen far more invasive surveys.

Pros

- Chance to qualify and continue onto a second part of the study (optional) that takes 2-3 minutes extra for $1.50. Contains 2-3 open-ended questions with no writing minimum.

Cons

- Before continuing to the second part of the survey (if you qualify) the main portion was pretty much underpaid for the effort.
