Pros

Cons

Thanks to Jonathan Manzi changing his requester name from Jonathan Manzi to Web Services Pro, nobody will ever figure out that Jonathan Manzi changed the requester name, formerly Jonathan Manzi, to take the heat off Jonathan Manzi committing a crime that Jonathan Manzi tried to write off, which was detailed in federal court case 4:19-CR-3094, United States v Manzi. The crimes that Jonathan Manzi committed that Jonathan Manzi wanted to write off in the federal court case against Jonathan Manzi, subtitled United States v Manzi, is as follows:
Four counts of unlawful intrusion into a protected computer

Therefore, it is no surprise that Jonathan Manzi is trying to abuse MTurk ToS under Jonathan Manzi's requester account, formerly named Jonathan Manzi, by getting workers to google Jonathan Manzi's name, along with a bunch of other tech CEOs that are not Jonathan Manzi, in an attempt to clear Jonathan Manzi's name of Jonathan Manzi's wrongdoings via SEO manipulation, which Jonathan Manzi knows is clearly illegal to carry out on MTurk, yet Jonathan Manzi still does so anyway.

This goes one step further with Jonathan Manzi buying Reddit accounts, that again weren't Jonathan Manzi's accounts to begin with, to carry out vote manipulation praising Jonathan Manzi and trying to silence everyone else speaking out against career criminal Jonathan Manzi. This can be viewed here: https://www.removeddit.com/r/mturk/comments/p1sz1k/jonathan_manzi_appreciation_post/

From this post that Jonathan Manzi made about Jonathan Manzi, you can also see a history of Jonathan Manzi's multiple, bought Reddit accounts posting in cryptocurrency related subreddits, most notably /r/CryptoMoonShots, which is rife with pump and dump schemes. Considering Jonathan Manzi's connections with high ranking employees relating to blockchain technology, it isn't too much of a stretch to think that Jonathan Manzi is also participating in these pump and dump schemes with Jonathan Manzi's bought and paid for Reddit accounts, which were originally not Jonathan Manzi's, in hopes of boosting Jonathan Manzi's crypto accounts.

This becomes especially damning when you realize that Jonathan Manzi is the CEO of a company named Beyond Protocol, which has its own subreddit (/r/BEYONDprotocol) created by none other than Jonathan Manzi, this time on an account Jonathan Manzi actually owns. It is no surprise that Jonathan Manzi also posted to /r/CryptoMoonShots, advertising Jonathan Manzi's own company Beyond Protocol, as well as advertising the cryptocurrency Jonathan Manzi created along with it, seen here: https://www.removeddit.com/r/CryptoMoonShots/comments/o24jk5/beyond_protocol_bigger_than_btc/
The concurrent posting of Jonathan Manzi's own reddit account to the same subreddit, as well as Jonathan Manzi purchasing Reddit accounts that don't belong to Jonathan Manzi and weren't created by Jonathan Manzi, serves as circumstantial, yet ample evidence that Jonathan Manzi does not want his past life of career criminal Jonathan Manzi to come to light, and will do anything to further attention to Jonathan Manzi's projects that doesn't focus on said past life of Jonathan Manzi.

Considering all of the above about Jonathan Manzi, you should steer clear of career criminal Jonathan Manzi and his requester account, formerly named Jonathan Manzi, as the work that Jonathan Manzi puts out on his requester account, which was again formerly named Jonathan Manzi, has you commit SEO manipulation on Jonathan Manzi's behalf by googling Jonathan Manzi's name at least 10 times in the hopes that Jonathan Manzi can hide Jonathan Manzi's career of crime before Jonathan Manzi ends up going to prison for 20 years over the crime that Jonathan Manzi committed.

Pros

Easy.

Cons

Instructions could be clearer as to what they are looking for. At first I copied all names into my answer. Example:

1. Persons Name - Result
2. Persons Name - Result

But later removed the names after looking at instructions again. Example:

1. Result.
2. Result.

Also, after submitting and writing this review, I looked to see what others had mentioned. Another reviewer noted that they gave the title of the result. I gave the URL. Again, nothing in the description or instructions indicates what exactly they want. Hope this doesn't turn into a rejection.

Advice to Requester

Refine your write-up and/or instructions to clearly state what you want.

Pros

Requester is paying to have his Google search hits increased so he appears high on the results. I've done a few of these and it wasn't obvious to me until this one (every other search is his exact name...). Also trying to get his name associated with the other famous people's. Elon Musk, one of the searches, is already showing up as "related search".

Wage Aggregate Tracking

This is fairly straightforward: we take the completion time & the reward amount (where available) and calculate the average hourly rate for the task. We then apply that number to a simple range based on US minimum wage standards to color-code the data for easy to digest numerical data.

Color Pay Range (Hourly) Explanation
RED < $7.25 / hr Hourly averages below US Federal minimum wage
ORANGE $7.25 - $10.00 / hr Hourly averages between Federal & highest statewide (CA) minimum wages.
GREEN > $10.00 / hr Hourly averages above all US minimum wage standards

Reward Sentiment

Not all HITs are created equal. Sometimes an hourly wage doesn't convey the full story of a HIT's true worth, so we encourage workers to give their opinion on the overall pay of the task. Was it $8/hr to rate pictures of puppies? A worker could justifiably bump up the rating a bit for something so adorable. 10 hours locked in Inquisit? Even for $10/hr many workers would appreciate the heads up on such a task. The Pay Sentiment rating helps connect workers beyond the hard data.

Icon Rating Suggested Guidelines
Underpaid 1 / 5
  • Very low or no pay
  • Frustrating work experience
  • Inadequate instructions
Low 2 / 5
  • Below US min-wage ($7.25/hr)
  • No redeeming qualities to make up for pay
Fair 3 / 5
  • Minimum wages for task (consider SE taxes!)
  • Work experience offers nothing to tip the scales in a positive or negative direction
Good 4 / 5
  • Pay is above minimum wage, or compensates better than average for the level of effort required.
  • The overall work experience makes up for borderline wages
Generous 5 / 5
  • Pay is exceptional.
  • Interesting, engaging work or work environment
  • Concise instructions, well designed HIT.

Communication Ratings

Communication is an underrated aspect of mTurk. Clear, concise directions. A fast response to a clarification question or a resolution to a workflow suggestion can all be valuable aspects of interaction between Requesters & Workers and its worth keeping track of. Plus everyone enjoys the peace of mind knowing that if something does go wrong there will be an actual human getting back to you to solve the issue.

Icon Rating Suggested Guidelines
Unacceptable 1 / 5
  • No response at all
  • Rude response without a resolution
Poor 2 / 5
  • Responsive, but unhelpful
  • Required IRB or extra intervention
Acceptable 3 / 5
  • Responded in a reasonable timeframe
  • Resolves issues to a minimum level of satisfaction.
Good 4 / 5
  • Prompt Response
  • Positive resolution
Excellent 5 / 5
  • Prompt response time
  • Friendly & Professional
  • Helpful / Solved Issues
  • Interacts within the community

Approval Time Tracking

This rating is strictly for approval times. Let's face it, no one wants to mix approval time ratings with how fast a Requester rejects a HIT, so we've saved rejection flags for another category. This provides a more straightforward way to know about how long your HIT might sit pending before paying out. The default auto-approval for most MTurk tasks is 3 days, the maximum is 30 days. We've tried to base our ratings around those data-points.

Icon Rating Approval Time
Very Slow 1 / 5 Over 2 weeks
Slow 2 / 5 ~1 - 2 Weeks
Average 3 / 5 ~3 - 7 Days
Fast 4 / 5 ~1 - 3 Days
Very Fast 5 / 5 ~24 hours or less
