ymmv.Not rating pay. Was a little torn on how to approach this review because pay rate will vary a lot depending on if you get the bonus.

...however, quite a few people will not get the extra $1, which means pay is low cause you'll only get .05 + .45 = 0.5 total.Bonus is picking 3 of 6 statements that are true from recent political news, and it's timed. So, if you don't know much about recent news/ politics, you can probably assume you are not going to get the full bonus. I usually wouldn't reveal that much of a survey, but I feel it's fair as a lot of people are going to be underpaid if they miss that bonus.

Advice to Requester
Maybe figure out a way to make compensation more fair to people who don't answer the question correctly. Almost seems like punishment to those workers that don't follow the news, which doesn't seem fair.

Bonus is mostly knowledge-based. I won't go into detail for the researcher's sake, but you'll likely know your odds of getting it from the start of the survey.Cons
It's pretty easy to not get the real bonus if you don't keep up with the study's topic, making the hourly miserable. Bonus is nearly all or nothing.Advice to Requester
prorate bonus rather than make it all or nothing. IE: for every statement correctly identified as true, earn .33 bonus.

Handed out a good bonus despite not getting their bonus tasks correct. Guess they grew a conscience or somethingCons
Earning the bonus requires you to select three news headlines that are true out of six. This is done twice and you get a buck if you get it right for each block.So for many folks including myself, there's a good chance of no bonus and this ends up being one of the worst paid HITs I've done, ever.
