This was one of the easier hits.I admit after the first one that had the numbers completely visible and easy to read I hit PANDA this morning! What a mistake! I returned more than 40 and completed 19 before I gave up.
Two of the 19 were rejected with “Your responses did not agree with the responses from other workers”
Some of these sites are ambiguous at best and obfuscated at worst. I diligently used “4. Lastly, do you have any comments or concerns about what you just recorded?” To report irregularities in the data such as positive cases tested off campus and weird numbers of total cases that did not add up, even when I manually tallied data from line graphs. So, I was surprised that after all that the hits are being compared to multiple other reports.
I love data but I advise to avoid these. The hourly on those I completed was somewhere around $6.00/hr overall not including rejects which I spent at least 2 to 3 minutes each on.
Advice to Requester
Please don't ask a question like - "Lastly, do you have any comments or concerns about what you just recorded?" If you are just going to ignore it. Be clear about on campus and off campus positive cases.You paid a minimum of $0.30 a hit and $0.45+ if there were discrepancies. Take the time to do a training document or video and a qualification hit and pay that money for each hit to workers who know exactly what you are looking for.
