• Rejected: "Unfortunately, the respondent of this survey did not have real intent and did not answer the questions in a serious or reasonable manner. This was seen by the pattern in their answering and the impossibility of such an occurrence in a genuine response. We would be happy for you to participate in future surveys, while being mindful of the above."; Contacted requester on 10/19• Received reply on 10/20 stating, in part, "The reviewers have advanced benchmarking tools to evaluate these parameters and unfortunately their judgement cannot be changed."
• Threat of time-based rejection ("Take into consideration that we have estimated the minimal time required for the survey and will check if you have not filled it thoroughly.“)
• Rating 180 images on two scales each (pleasant vs. unpleasant and how calm vs. aroused it makes you feel)

this was the most mind numbing and tedious task i have completed on mturk thus far. i had to take 20 separate surveys, each roughly 15-16 min in length. each survey had about 70 pages of evaluating an image on 6 different criteria. i had to scroll through each page and click multiple times. it started to wear out my arm after the first hour. pay was decent, but after the first 4-5 surveys, i was considering returning this hit because i didnt want to sit around for the full 5 hours it would take to complete. i thought, based on the pay from their previous hits, the full 20 surveys would take around 3 hours to complete. i was wrong and suffered as a result. i sent them a message explaining these things. perhaps they send me an additional bonus to make up for it.

PASS THIS ONE BY! Many disturbing images and very underpaid.There is absolutely no way possible to do this in 18 minutes as another person reviewed (believe their work was rejected as it should have been). Completely impossible to do it much quicker than 50 minutes. Not sure why people lie about their times.
Back to reviewing the HIT, you need to rate 200 images on two different scales. This is broken into three parts. The first part had no progress bar but the last two did. Then there is a survey and then demographics. For all five of these parts, you need to enter your ID and copy down an individual completion code.
Not worth the low pay.
