I should be rating this as 'good' based on the hourly but I am gonna leave this one at 'fair'. This is one of those hits they might have been better off doing half of the trials. IIRC this was around 260 for the main task.I adjusted the volume according to their instructions and I am surprised my ears are not bleeding. I tried lowering the volume but then I missed details in the audio so had to keep it at the level they wanted. This could have also used a progress indicator. It tells you when you are halfway but just getting to the halfway point feels like it takes forever. Also, some of the tracks did not play.
So hey, if you want to try to get a few extra bucks, go for it. I've done worse hits but my ears are not happy right now. If you can tolerate the monotony and the type of audio you have to listen to for a half hour then give it a try. If you have sensitive hearing you might want to give this one a pass though.

After all my years of turking this requester was probably one of the nicest requesters I have spoken to. I had sent a message asking if these were new experiments or if they were the same as the one I did previously and she was very prompt with replying and very kind. I was given the go ahead to do both hits that were posted. Bonuses paid the next day. Even though these are not exactly easy to go through given the fact of how kind she was I had no problem doing them.Cons
It is pretty much the same as the first experiment with the same amount of trials. You can take a break halfway through if needed. If you have sensitive hearing you may want to skip this.

decent pay. I got distracted a few times so it could be done sooner. the study suggest it should be 33 minutes, which is around $12/hour. As long as you pass the first part you are guaranteed participation in the second part. It's a lot like McDermott Experiments HITs with the difference being that you're not being paid for correct trials like in McDermott, you're just being paid a flat completion fee.Cons
