"income inequality" is the new "eat the rich" - collectivist rhetoric intended only to stoke envy and gain support for socialist and statist politicians. Socialism has DESTROYED every country in which it has been tried.The "poor" are no more generalizable than any other group collectivists try to blather about. But the lifestyle they live, in the US, is better than it has been in any other society across history.
The "minimum wage" has always been and will always be ZERO, regardless of any governmental mandates to the contrary - if an employer has to pay a worker more than that person's labor is worth, they will not hire the worker.
