Perform a series of behavioral tasks to benefit science. - $7.00
$14.51 / hour
00:28:57 / completion time
ProsThe estimated time in the HIT description is pretty accurate.
Before each block of stimuli - it gives you an estimated time - which was also accurate.
ConsThis HIT is terrible.
The pay is garbage for the amount of time it takes and the constant focus required.
Place your fingers on your keyboard and react to stimuli.
requires absolute constant focus and attention.
some blocks had mandatory breaks

Perform a series of behavioral tasks to benefit science. - $8.00
$15.43 / hour
00:31:07 / completion time
ProsApproved, with a quick reply, thank you!
ConsClaims that incorrect code was given. Clearly not the case as I always double verify before I submit. I wasted the better part of an hour on this survey and believe I was unjustly not paid. Contacted with no response as of yet. I'll update if they change their mind once they take a look at the data and see that this very long survey was done correctly and should be compensated.
Advice to RequesterPlease double-check data in cases such as these. Turk Prime sometimes does not give a completion code at all or reports an incorrect code. After working on mTurk for the last 4 years there are errors in a few circumstances and workers do not like not being paid when they have worked for an hour.
The worker did not provide a valid survey code.
This rejection was overturned!
Answer questions about yourself and perform a behavioral task to benefit science. - $9.00
$27.36 / hour
00:19:44 / completion time
ProsMuch faster than requester's time estimate.
Bubbles followed by a 5 minute clicking task (easy, just two buttons on the keyboard)
Survey was a lot faster than projected but, clicking task estimate was spot on at 5 mins
ConsBubble section was only 3 questions per page
Brief writing portion at the end....basically just to make sure you were paying attention to the survey
