Tasks were very clearly laid out at the beginningThere is a follow up (link provided at the end of the survey) that is estimated to take the same amount of time and will pay $10 via bonus. If that's true, it should bump the hourly up to about $15 for completing both parts (will try to remember to update this review)
EDIT/UPDATE: I completed the second part (link was provided at the end of the original HIT and you were given 7 days to complete it) the next day. Essentially, read four articles. After each one, answer a series of questions (with written responses) to show your comprehension. The articles weren't complicated or hard to understand. Written responses were generally a sentence or two at most. $10 bonus was sent less than 24 hours after completion. I've updated the completion time (second part was about 30 mins, just like the first part). YMMV depending on reading speed, etc
Rating pay as "fair" because, while the hourly ended up decent, both HITs were sort of tedious and took a good bit of work/writing.

Pretty tedious at timesThere is one section that is 15 minutes (timed) where you have to read boring passages and answer questions about them

Good overall pay rate, bonus was paid within 3 hours. Two part hit with the second part being 13.00. The second part is a link with a bonus so you do not have to do it right after the first one, if I remember correctly it must be done within 24 hours.Cons
A lot of writing and it is science related, so this wont be for everyone. The hit is reading medical articles and answering a lot of questions in writing. If you do just the first hit for 2.00 the pay rate is awful at a little under 5.00 an hour. Make sure that you have about an hour of time to commit to his.Advice to Requester
Even out the rate a little maybe something like 4-11 or 5-10 instead of 2-13

The time reflects the total time of both parts of the survey, since the second half is not directly on MTurk. A LOT of writing in the second part.
