Pros
It IS "something" to do as opposed to watching TV or just relaxing but, those things are at least enjoyable.I don't have to do this survey ever again!
Cons
The questions... They seemingly never end... Really! In the first 10 pages, there's 190 bubbles to select, 19 questions per-page/category and a status bar at the bottom that doesn't even budge until after 8 pages have been answered, and then it's almost imperceptible that it did move slightly, it may have been wishful thinking on my part.
Then after 10 nauseatingly long PAGES of questions with only semantically different wording between most of them, you finally get to the demographics, the progress bar is now around 52%, maybe.
Then it gets WORSE! The demo's just won't end either, more semantic's and then do you, have you, will you, could you, have you maybe heard of, do you think you might hear of, what about someone in your family, what about someone they might have heard of... Oh, My, God! They just won't end!
If I hadn't already been answering the massive amount of mind-numbing questions for well over the 20 minutes he said it should take, I would have returned the HIT... I was in way too deep to return it, I would've received nothing in return, so, I begrudgingly stuck it out... My brain hates me for it and I never want to see another long drawn-out survey like this again unless I'm making at least $15.00 or more for doing so.
I've never had any survey that required me to click "Next" over 60 times, I lost count after that.
I would have gladly paid the requester $2.00 to NOT have taken this survey!
If I, unexpectedly, were to receive a $20 Bonus for my thoughtful participation, I'll revise this review to reflect my sincere gratitude for having been given the opportunity to have helped my fellow humans as well as advancing science and your knowledge of the subject matter for the betterment of all mankind. Until that happens, it's tragically underpaid.
Advice to Requester
Trim the questions down to much, much less than half, it's entirely too long.Pay a fair price for what you're asking workers to do and for what you're receiving in return.
$2.00 isn't even in the same zip-code as fair for a survey this long!
Did I mention that it's entirely too long?
Give a "realistic" expectation of the "actual" time required to read, think and then respond to your survey questions... 20 minutes isn't even remotely close, test it using someone that has no clue or preconceptions as to what it's about, then test it on more people before posting it.
